Order Repeat Prescriptions

If you are isolating try and use friends, family or relatives to collect your prescriptions or if that is not an option then you may also engage local volunteer services.

Repeat PrescriptionsNice_vlue_pills

During the Covid Virus Crisis please try and request all your medication at the same time.  To make it easy for admin staff please request online or by email.  (PLEASE REDUCE INFECTION RISK, DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY UNLESS INVITED)

There are many ways to request a repeat prescription:

ONLINE FORM  -  Please follow links to our online form click HERE, then select 'I have an admin query' to request a prescription.

ONLINE APP - THIS IS OUR PREFERRED METHOD. To request repeat medication online you will need to register for Patient Access (Click HERE). Patient Access can be found on the app store or sign up for the NHS App on your mobile (Click HERE for info). Registering for Patient Access will mean that you will also be able to see information in your medical record such as test results, past history and scanned documents. If you call the surgery or ask at your next appointment we can help you register.

PAPER - Please try and avoid this if you can whilst there is a Corona Virus Outbreak, but we advise you note your Name, Date of birth and the items you require on a piece of paper or alternatively use the copy of your repeat you are provided with by your chemist when you collect your repeat (please tick the items you require) and post this in the Back Post-box outside the surgery entrance, on the left.

TELEPHONE - Please do not request your prescriptions this way as we ask you to keep our phone lines clear. Unless you have explored all avenues we will not take them over the phone and my try and resolve your online issues to get you back to requesting online.

You need to nominate a preferred pharmacy and then collect your medication from them. Your prescription will be sent to them within 48hrs excluding weekends and bank holidays, unless someone contacts you. The pharmacy will then need time to dispense your medication.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. If you feel there is a medication which should be on repeat prescription but is not, please enquire with our receptionists and if appropriate it will be corrected

48_hoursPlease allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. If you have nominated a pharmacy you will need to give them time to dispense your medication after they have received the prescription.
