Prescriptions
If you take regular medication, a repeat
prescription can be issued to you most of the time without seeing
the doctor or nurse. Every time we write a repeat prescription we
also print off an up to date list of all your medication for you
to keep to help you remember what tablets you take. This can
be very useful in case you have to see a doctor at the hospital
or when away on holiday.
There is more than one way to request a repeat prescription. You
can:
- Phone the practice prescription line 303 8066 (open 11.30am
to 2.30pm)
- Come into the practice and ask the reception staff, or drop
a note into our request box, on the reception desk
- Post a list of your requested medication into the practice,
if you also post a stamped addressed envelope we can post your
prescription back to you as well.
- Email your request using our standard request form (see below)
Every year all patients on regular medication have a check up to
make sure their medication is still right form them. If you are
on lots of tablets this may be every 6 months. You may be asked
to come into the practice for a check up from time to time.
If you feel there is a medication which should be on repeat prescription
but is not, please enquire with our receptionists and if appropriate
it will be corrected.
Use this form to request
your repeat medication. Please allow us 48 hours to get your prescription
ready.
