NEW INITIATIVE ON SORE THROATS AND EARACHE

We have recently been training our recepionists in the management of some minor illnesses. This means when you phone for an appointment you may find that the receptionist will ask you for some details about your symptoms, especially if you or your child has a sore throat, a cough or earache. This is to help to guide you on whether you need to see a GP, or whether your condition could be helped in another was, for example by a telephone consultation. If you don't mind answering the questions then we are very grateful as it helps us to manage our workload at busy times. They will never prevent you from having an appointment if you feel this is necessary.

WELCOME

In August we welcomed our new group of junior doctors Vaidehi and Michael and more recently, Saad to the team. We are also hosting medical students on placement from the University of Manchester and are grateful to all patients who have agreed to see the students as part of their training. Together we are all helping to create the doctors of the future.
